On 4 November 2016 evening, saw the beautiful partnership of Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Palm Garden Hotel and TRAXXfm once again in bringing “Lights of Unity” to underprivileged children from Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih, Kajang and Rumah Bakti Al-Kausar, Bangi at the Putrajaya Ballroom.

The event started off with the warm welcoming of the children from the homes and subsequent ushering of the VIPS by Peacock Dancers into the Ballroom. Mr Simon Yong firstly gave a heartwarming speech to all the guests. This was later followed by a speech from TRAXXfm Station Manager, Pn Noriani Mohd Idris.

The event kicked off with an opening act by Marriott associate before giving way to the Emcees for the night, TRAXXfms’ presenters KG, Qis Elias and Frisca Freddy. The program continued with a show featuring the talented kids of Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih. The event continued with performances and games by our boisterous emcees. Palm Garden Hotel also conducted the all-time favourite game of musical chairs.  TRAXXfms’ very own The Morning Show Host- The Greenman wowed the crowd by performing several songs, as his trademark act- group participation is a must. Expect fun and games and the excitement continued with a short sketch by TRAXXfms’ team headed by Yogee the Legend.

60 children and 10 single mothers we feted with a bountiful buffet prepared by the two hotel teams. Delicious Indian cuisine was prepared especially for the special guests such as Rassam Soup, Squid in Hot Marsala, Deep Fried Prawns with Curry leaves and onions, Lamb Curry, varieties of Indian desserts and so much more. The associates of both hotels and radio team had a wonderful time mingling with them.

As the evening progressed, the Peacock dancers were called upon again to usher Mr Simon Yong, Mr Jason Tie and Pn Noriani Mohd Idris to the stage for the distribution of money packet and goody bags to the children.

The evening ended all too soon with a final game of Sparklers at the Marriott porch before saying goodbye till the next event.

Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih is located at No 3 Lot 1547, Taman Bangi, Jalan Reko, Kajang under the care of Ms Kavitha. The home houses 30 children between the ages of 7 to 16 years old and 10 homeless adults or single mothers.

Rumah Bakti Al Kausar is located at Bangi and is headed by Ir Hj Razali Hj Basri, Chairman, Rumah Bakti al-Kausar, Bandar Baru Bangi.
